How we make money
Guardbrook is free for you. Here is exactly who pays the site, for what, and what that money can't buy.

Who pays Guardbrook
Guardbrook’s income comes from rate-shopping requests. When you send a request through the rate-shopping form, Guardbrook passes it to licensed insurance agents and insurers so they can contact you with quotes. Those agents and insurers may pay Guardbrook for the requests they receive.
That is the only way the site is paid today. Guardbrook shows no ads and has no affiliate links.
What you pay
Nothing. Reading the site, using the calculators and sending a request are free. Guardbrook does not charge you a fee. Any price you pay for a policy is set by the insurer, not by Guardbrook.
What the money doesn’t change
- The averages. State figures come from the NAIC and are copied as published. No partner can change them.
- The articles. Agents and insurers don’t write, review or approve our pages, and they can’t pay for a mention.
- The calculators. They use only the numbers you enter, and their formulas are published on the methodology page. No partner can change a result.
Guardbrook does not rank or recommend insurers. The editorial policy explains how pages are kept independent.
What it means for you
- Sending a request is your choice. You can use every page and calculator without one.
- A request means agents or insurers may call, text or email you. You can stop that at any time: reply STOP to a text, or email [email protected] and we will pass your opt-out to those who received your request.
- Quotes come from the agents and insurers, not from Guardbrook. Compare them line by line and check each agent’s license; the licensing page shows how.
- Under some state privacy laws, passing your request on for a fee may count as a “sale” of personal information. Your choices are in the privacy policy.
